WOW! What a wonderful new tennis facility at Crystal Tree Golf and Country Club! With four new clay courts and an outstanding Director of Tennis/Head Tennis Professional Kathy Wacnik, the tennis program has been taken to a whole new level and you're invited to come along for an exciting season in 2010. This year's programs will include:
Junior Tennis
Ladies Aerobic Tennis – new this year!
Men’s Drill & Play – new this year!
Co-ed Drill & Play
Ladies League – new this year!
Ladies Drill & Play
In addition, the traditional Ladies Guest Day will be held in July along with the Second Annual Parent/Child Round Robin and Margarita Mixers.
The most exciting change is the new Har-Tru Clay Tennis Courts. Clay courts offer many advantages for players and are not only the finest in the world, but offer a cooler and more comfortable surface for play. Listed below is an overview of the advantages that Crystal Tree now offers with its clay courts:
Shock absorbing surface that cushions the body and joints for greater safety and comfort
Permits sliding which can reduce injuries up to 85%
Provides a surface which allows a greater variety of tennis strokes
A slower ball bounce that equals longer rallies and a more controlled game
Your strategy and skill will improve and develop
20% cooler than any other surface
Absorbs water quickly so you can return to play after a rain shower
What is given up with a hard surface?
More injuries
Excessive impact which exacerbates injuries
Unnecessary stress on joints and back
Slow body recovery after each game
Speed and Power of play
Fast ball speed and less control
Crystal Tree Golf and Country Club truly has the facilities to be one of the best destinations for tennis in the Chicagoland area. Come out and PLAY!! On-line court booking now available here:
